Primary 1 have loved our Wednesday morning music and storytelling sessions. We have been learning about musical instruments, joining in with fun stories and songs and playing some fun games too!
We've had a busy start to the New Year in Primary 1! We had fun outside in our icy sand pit and we have finished the week playing 'kaboom' and 'roll a number' games to help us learn our tricky words. A great start to 2026!
This week, Primary 7 enjoyed working together, exploring ideas and problem-solving while learning about scale drawings in our Building Thinking Classroom. For the last 4 weeks, Primary 1 have been singing and playing games with Mrs Gray from NYCOS. We have had lots of fun learning some new songs that we will continue to sing in class.
This week in P7 was packed with exciting learning experiences! Primary 2/3 had the exciting opportunity to visit West Lothian college last week, to take part in a fantastic play-based and outdoor learning experience. Primary 5 and Primary 6 enjoyed collaborating with one another during an outdoor scavenger hunt. All groups demonstrated excellent team working skills and enjoyed being outside.
P6/7 learned about the importance of shelter during poverty awareness week. We looked at the materials we would include in our houses and different shelter all around the world. Primary 4 had a visit from the Fire Service as part of their interdisciplinary learning on the history of Livingston as well as the world of work in the local area. We loved seeing the inner workings of the fire engine and learning all about the role of a fire fighter.
It was lovely to welcome all our children back to Toronto after the Festive break. P4/5 have started off their new year by reflecting on all that 2024 offered and making resolutions for the year ahead. They have set their own goals for what they would like to achieve in 2025.
