In Primary 2 this week we enjoyed a special visit from Dave for "Wee Story, Big Sound", where the children created their own song using a shopping list of items from his bag. This week we have been working on expanding our multiplication strategies and explaining our thinking in numeracy. In Writing we have been researching and gathering notes on our chosen animal to use in our information reports. In Art we experimented with different materials to create collages of Anne of Cleves.

This week in P6/7 we enjoyed playing handball with P4/5. We also had great fun working as a team on our chocolatey packaging production line. We had to work collaboratively to follow the steps and be as efficient as possible.

Primary 1 have loved our Wednesday morning music and storytelling sessions. We have been learning about musical instruments, joining in with fun stories and songs and playing some fun games too!

This week, Primary 7 enjoyed working together, exploring ideas and problem-solving while learning about scale drawings in our Building Thinking Classroom. We also worked brilliantly to create a chocolate‑packaging production line, learning how to organise tasks, follow logical steps, and streamline our process while having lots of fun collaborating

P6/7 have been learning traditional Scottish country dances! We've been practicing the St Bernard's Waltz, the Canadian Barn Dance, and the Gay Gordons. It's been great fun, and we've discovered just how energetic (and exhausting!) ceilidh dancing can be.

This week in P7 was packed with exciting learning experiences! We learned numeracy skills through Building Thinking Classrooms, where pupils collaborated and had fun solving challenges in creative ways. Primary 2/3 had the exciting opportunity to visit West Lothian college last week, to take part in a fantastic play-based and outdoor learning experience. This morning, some of our Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils visited Inveralmond Community High School to take part in the first North Area Football Festival of the year. Primary 5 and Primary 6 enjoyed collaborating with one another during an outdoor scavenger hunt. All groups demonstrated excellent team working skills and enjoyed being outside.

Today, Primary 6 had the opportunity to work with a group of West Lothian College HND students in fun fitness tests, relay races and games. The children had a brilliant time and are really looking forward to their next session.
