P2/3 have been learning about where food comes from. We have learned about the food journey of butter and have had a go at making butter ourselves.
Primary 2 and Primary 2/3 have been developing their coordination, rhythm, and teamwork skills through dance. We have been learning how to keep in time with the beat, follow simple choreographed sequences, and move safely in the space around us. The children's enthusiasm and progress has been wonderful to see.
P6/7 have been learning traditional Scottish country dances! We've been practicing the St Bernard's Waltz, the Canadian Barn Dance, and the Gay Gordons. It's been great fun, and we've discovered just how energetic (and exhausting!) ceilidh dancing can be.
This week in P7 was packed with exciting learning experiences! We learned numeracy skills through Building Thinking Classrooms, where pupils collaborated and had fun solving challenges in creative ways. Primary 5 and Primary 6 enjoyed collaborating with one another during an outdoor scavenger hunt. All groups demonstrated excellent team working skills and enjoyed being outside.
Primary 2 had the best time exploring and playing in the woods. Rob showed us slack lining and we all were brave enough to have a go!
This morning Primary 6/7 took part in a very wet outdoor learning session with Kids Gone Wild. We had fun exploring the woods, climbing trees and we bravely had a go at zip lining. We had the best time being wet, messy and outdoors!

It was lovely to welcome all our children back to Toronto after the Festive break. P4/5 have started off their new year by reflecting on all that 2024 offered and making resolutions for the year ahead. They have set their own goals for what they would like to achieve in 2025.
