Primary Three have been busy as always! We have been practicing our listening and created some crazy aliens by listening carefully to instructions. We have also been working hard writing information reports, learning different multiplication strategies and for Languages week we have learnt some Gaelic greetings!
This week we have been working on expanding our multiplication strategies and explaining our thinking in numeracy. In Writing we have been researching and gathering notes on our chosen animal to use in our information reports. In Art we experimented with different materials to create collages of Anne of Cleves.
Primary 1 have loved our Wednesday morning music and storytelling sessions. We have been learning about musical instruments, joining in with fun stories and songs and playing some fun games too!
We've had a busy start to the New Year in Primary 1! We had fun outside in our icy sand pit and we have finished the week playing 'kaboom' and 'roll a number' games to help us learn our tricky words. A great start to 2026!
This week, Primary 7 enjoyed working together, exploring ideas and problem-solving while learning about scale drawings in our Building Thinking Classroom. Primary 5 have enjoyed a festive few weeks filled with learning and creativity. We learned the Makaton signs for Feliz Navidad, made crafts for the Christmas Fayre, and decorated our tree. For the last 4 weeks, Primary 1 have been singing and playing games with Mrs Gray from NYCOS. We have had lots of fun learning some new songs that we will continue to sing in class.
This week, Primary 5 have been learning about the significance of Remembrance Day and the importance of honouring those who have served and sacrificed. Primary 2/3 had the exciting opportunity to visit West Lothian college last week, to take part in a fantastic play-based and outdoor learning experience. This morning Primary 3 took part in a very wet outdoor learning session with Kids Gone Wild. We had fun exploring the woods, climbing trees and we bravely had a go at slacklining. We had the best time being wet, messy and outdoors!
