Primary 2/3 had the exciting opportunity to visit West Lothian college last week, to take part in a fantastic play-based and outdoor learning experience. Primary 5 and Primary 6 enjoyed collaborating with one another during an outdoor scavenger hunt. All groups demonstrated excellent team working skills and enjoyed being outside.
Primary 2 had the best time exploring and playing in the woods. Rob showed us slack lining and we all were brave enough to have a go!
P6/7 learned about the importance of shelter during poverty awareness week. We looked at the materials we would include in our houses and different shelter all around the world. Primary 4 had a visit from the Fire Service as part of their interdisciplinary learning on the history of Livingston as well as the world of work in the local area. We loved seeing the inner workings of the fire engine and learning all about the role of a fire fighter.
This morning Primary 6/7 took part in a very wet outdoor learning session with Kids Gone Wild. We had fun exploring the woods, climbing trees and we bravely had a go at zip lining. We had the best time being wet, messy and outdoors!

It was lovely to welcome all our children back to Toronto after the Festive break. P4/5 have started off their new year by reflecting on all that 2024 offered and making resolutions for the year ahead. They have set their own goals for what they would like to achieve in 2025.
P6/7 have been investigating Christmas in Bulgaria. As part of their learning the learned a Bulgarian Carol and want ed to share their learning with the rest of the school. Yesterday P6/7 went carolling to the different blocks to share their song. Listen to it here: https://youtu.be/6X_kAovxXjs
Our Toronto choir visited Braid House this week to perform some Christmas carols for the members there. We loved sharing our Christmas spirit, joy and singing with them.
